How to create an Apple Disk Image (DMG) file on Mac OS X
Here's the easy way to create an Apple disk image (DMG) on Mac OS X:
Step 1: Launch iArchiver
Download iArchiver if you haven't already done so and launch it
Step 2: Drag in files to pack
Drag in the files you want to pack in your disk image.
Step 3: Pick a file name
Type in the filename for your disk image.
Step 4: Change format to DMG
Select "DMG" from the drop-down list to the right of the filename.
Step 5: Drag out DMG file
Drag out the file (represented by the DMG icon) and you're done!
